Sunday (qualifying)

	Andy Carter had the B&Q Top Fuel Dragster hooked up and hauling whilst in the far lane Gordon Smith went up in smoke again.		Ben Jones out for a Sunday drive in his VW Sportsman camper.
	Bert Englefield is fourth in Pro Mod qualifying with this 6.795 pass which looked to us like a baseline run so there is more to come.		NFAA racer Bob Glassup staged straddling his burnout tracks and this wheels-up launch had him heading for the Tree.
	Chris Hall picked up right where he left off at the Power Nationals with several six-second passes on his nitrous-assisted Funny Bike.		Clayton Round has run into the 7.1s so far in his well-turned-out NFAA altered.
	Dave Beck has once again dominated Pro Stock Bike qualifying and ended the day #1 qualifier with a 7.359.		After problems with the Lenco in their NFAA Altered the Freddy's Revenge team finally hit the track this afternoon.
	Frank Bennett and Clayton Round laid down a nice side by side burnout in this afternoon's NFAA session.		Street Eliminator racer Ian Hook seems to have sorted his handling problems with an 8.404 from the '34 Ford Coupe.
	UK Drag Racing's answer to Gene Kelly, Super Pro ET racer John Everitt singin' in the rain.		John O'Sullivan hung out the laundry as part of his Pro Mod licencing procedure.
	John Spuffard got back on the throttle after the Showtime FC smoked the tyres. It hooked up but Spuff had a fire in the shutdown area after the seven-second pass.		Kev Metcalfe's dragster will be back at the Big Bang, in the meantime Kevo is running in VW Sportsman.
	Lex Joon leads the Pro Fuel Shootout by a huge margin with nearly a two and a half second advantage over John Spuffard.		Lorenz Stauble had some wild rides on his Supertwin but is third in Top Fuel Bike with a 6.823.
	Pro ET racer Malcolm Motler obliged Sharkman by using his parachute.		Mark Fairhurst is third in Super Comp with this 8.910.
	Martin Charles has new paint on his VW Pro Beetle - you wouldn't know it was the same car.		Matt Wright has got what he wanted from his Chevy truck, i.e. burnouts over the start line (very important) and wheels-up launches.
	Pat Talbot recorded her first 190 mph terminal speed in the E-Manumit Super Pro ET dragster.		Rob Turner ran a string of 5.6-second passes and is second in MSA Top Methanol qualifying.
	Roger Goring tried the left lane for size in the Firestorm Jet FC this morning but went back to the right lane this afternoon.		We think Ron Bartlett has a new engine in his Pro ET Anglia after his dial-in changed from last season.
	Street Eliminator racer Ron Haslett has broken into the tens this weekend - now for the nines!		Steph Milam didn't know it at this moment, but her TMFC's engine was seriously damaged on this 6.287 Personal Best pass.
	The normally shy and retiring 9.50 Bike racer Steve Coombs in a rare moment of silliness...		Top Fuel Dragster racer Urs Erbacher has a tiger on his tank. Note the #1 tag!
	Tim Garlick continued to do evil things to a Rover motor as he took his Super Mod Cortina to a 7.686.		Urs Erbacher's team were very pleased with his half pass. A full pass is planned for tomorrow.
