Friday (qualifying)

	The legendary Al O'Connor made one of his rare but very welcome Super Gas outings in Al's Gasser.		Antony Wilkins has new paint on his Rat Poison Chevy and the front end is coming up nicely.
	Super Street racer Bob Lees is one of three leading their class +0.002 on index or dial-in; Belinda Bull and Lance Richards are the others.		Brian Pateman has very nice new paint on his Super Comp Firebird.
	Chris Isaacs is doing double duty this weekend, driving both Spencer Tramm's Super Gas Corrado and his own Super Comp Standard Vanguard.		Super Street racer Dave Cherrett in "Not yet broken out" shock.
	Dennis Habermann was off the throttle just after half track and still went below his Super Pro ET dial-in.		Ful Lievaart's beautifully-turned-out Big Bertha added even more class to an already impressive Super Street field.

	James Lake now runs this Karmann Ghia, this weekend in Sportsman ET, after his VW Fugitive buggy fell foul of the new chassis rules.		Jessica Selles' Crew Chief has attracted admirers for her professional start line routine during Junior Dragster qualifying.
	John Atkinson's returning Jumpin' Black Flash under black clouds during Super Pro ET qualifying.		John Tebenham has a very imressive new paint job and ran into the 7.9s today during Super Pro ET qualifying.
	Marck Harteveld's steel-bodied Roadrunner sports a 636 ci motor and ran into the low nines in Pro ET qualifying.		Martin Hill followed up last weekend's tie-down test with a thousand-foot pass from the Fireforce 3 Jet FC this afternoon.
	Martin Walker found himself facing Chris Reed on his old bike in 9.50 Bike qualifying.		Nick Davies ran a new best in the Havoc NFAA altered, 7.297/191.47, then took a trip into the field. Nick says that only his ego was damaged.
	Paul Ingar Udtian has made another trip to the UK and he and his natural throttle stop led Super Comp after session one.		Paul Webster has replaced his Mini's damaged pistons and was back in action in Sportsman ET qualifying.
	Longtime racer Pete Creswell is second in a tight Super Gas field at 9.902/138.90.		Ray White had clutch trouble on his Pro Mod licencing pass but the run counted and now only the full pass remains.
	Germany's Ronald Jutting ran 8.34 during Super Pro ET qualifying, a best for the manic VW Beetle.		Sami Saapola made a Pro Mod licencing pass in his stunning Chevy Busines Coupe, hitting bad shake but recovering nicely.
	Scott Hauser took the Eurodragster.com/Speedflow Perfect Light Award with a 0.000 in the second Junior Dragster qualifying session.		This is 200mph Club member Steve Mead's first UK Championship event in 9.50 Bike and he leads qualifying at 9.511/149.47.
	Steve Green made a spectacular return to competition, his burnout tracks tracing out a big S on the track.		Steve Wood is another 200mph Club member seeing 9.50 Bike action this weekend.
	Stuart Morrice now carries Air Sea Logistics logos and the rookie currently outqualifies the sponsor with a 9.910/144.19 in Super Gas.		Wouter Van Leersum didn't disappoint with huge wheelies in Super Gas qualifying.
