It was great to see Chris Hope back at the track on his Pro Stock Bike. This is Ulf Ögge's first UEM outing on his Buell acquired from the USA. Fredrik Fredlund ran Personal Bests during Pro Stock Bike qualifying. Anders Karling pulled his first burnout on his new Supertwin but then shut off and we have yet to see him again. Former Pro Mod and Top Fuel Dragster racer Tommy Möller has returned to the track on a Supertwin. Svein Olav Rolfstad raced in the AHDRA in the USA last season but it's great to see him back in Europe. Kai Selkamaa is making his first outing on his Top Fuel Bike and is taking it sensibly. Chris Hall's Funny Bike looks great with its new bodywork and paint. Micke Callin is sixth in an all six-second Pro Stock field in his newly-acquired Pontiac GTO. Magnus Hansson's 204.25 mph blast in Pro Stock qualifying would have been a new speed record had Jimmy Ålund not already attended to both ET and speed records. Adam Flamholc is currently fourth in Pro Stock. Richard Sundblom's 6.730 was good for #1 spot in Pro Stock and will be a new ET record if he backs it up. Stig Neergard took up where he left off last season with a 4.8-second run in his Top Fuel Dragster. Timo Habermann's new Top Methanol Dragster pulls impressive wheelies and Timo is currently qualified second. Krister Johansson's injected-nitro Top Methanol Dragster looks great in its new colours and has done the first half of a new speed record. Peter Schöfer's Top Methanol Dragster is also in new colours and the team looked happy with their progress today. Gary Page had a couple of outings in Kenneth Lorentzon's Fuel Funny Car. Urs Erbacher is the third of three Top Fuel Dragster racers in the 4.8s. Mats Eriksson clocked 227.88 mph in the Green Goblin Pro Mod despite a lengthy pedal. In addition to #1 qualifying spot Urban Johansson set a new European Pro Mod speed record of 230.29 mph. Ingo Rolla made his first outing in his Highway Patrol-themed Pro Mod. Andy Carter leads Top Fuel Dragster qualifying. UK fans had their first look at Peter Ritscher's Pro Mod. Andy Robinson told us at the Press Call that any Pro Mod racer could come out of nowhere and Terje Håkonsen did just that with a 6.2529 good for second place. You have to wonder how Kristian Nyström sees out of this car but he saw well enough to run into the 6.4s today. Patrik Wikström's Pro Mod has new colours and a new set-up from which great things are promised. The crank of the Leanders Brothers' Top Methanol FC ended up in four pieces one of which reportedly could not be found. Leif Andréasson ran the numbers off the trailer and he leads Top Methanol FC qualifying. The blower belt departed Håkan Fällström's Top Fuel Dragster ride in the second qualifying session. We shouldn't really express disappointment that Freddy Fagerström's Pro Mod pick-up is going straight, but an arrow-straight Freddy doesn't seem right. Jürgen Nagel and Arvid Grødem faced off in Top Methanol FC qualifying. Ton Tinndahn is another who picked up where he left off last season, taking the lead in Pro Stock Bike qualifying. Per Bengtsson intends to contest the entire UEM European Supertwin Championship this season. Eric Teboul leads Top Fuel Bike qualifying with a 6.2930. Rikard Gustafsson ran one of the quickest Funny Bike passes anywhere on the planet during Top Fuel Bike qualifying. Martin Bishop is in the top half of Pro Stock Bike qualifying. Mark Gredinski caught this shot of Andy Frost's impressive wheelie during Comp Eliminator qualifying... ...and Andy Willsheer was there when Andy did it even better later on to round the day off in spectacular fashion.
